In her 24Aug1980 recording (Tape #455) Mae Brussell explores this broader parapolitical trend of California producing popculture, policies, and presidents that eventually come to represent the entire country. Initially dismissed or considered radical (by the rest of the country) these “Californisms” almost always spread throughout the country.

Mae Brussell explores this idea by examining Reagan (critically) as a case study. Mae Brussell reminds that all of all the “ops” we saw running in 1960s California were actually under Reagan’s tenure as Governor. She also reminds us that “awareness” of this fact has been strangely suppressed, and that there are also strange connections to assassinations, she didn’t know it (at the time) but these words of hers would be even more prescient and corroborated EVEN for Reagan’s assassination attempt!. She also reminds us that many of the high-profile violent acts of the 1960s (like RFK assassination) were largely in California.
