They thought it was a mountain and built a church on top of it.

They ignored the people that tried to tell them it wasn’t a mountain.

So now, one of the largest Pyramids and one of the most architecturally complex ancient sites in the World, is kinda just ignored by the zeitgeist. Larger than many of the Egyptian pyramids.

Maybe this is a good reminder that they may initially mock you, but even after you’ve proven them wrong with erudition and unassailable evidence, they won’t apologize, they’ll just disregard and pretend they didnt see it.
