Blackfriar Bridge is also territory of the “City of London”, an independent city-state in the heart of London. (Think: the Vatican in the middle of Rome). Blackfriars bridge also pops up quite a bit if you are familiar with the time of King Henry (Harry), Cromwell, and Sir Thomas More (who wrote the book “Utopia” and invented the word).
